Qi (pronounced "chee") = Energy, Gong = Exercise)
Simply put, QiGong is a form of energy exercise that increases your life force for healing and strengthening your body. Anyone, any age, any disability, any level of physical fitness can practice QiGong.
This ancient practice has a written record that dates back to 300 B.C. with "The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine". However, the understanding and manipulation of the body's energetic system dates back over 5000 years. Many years ago archaeologists discovered acupuncture mannequins in China that dated to 5000 years ago, suggesting that this knowledge was in place long before.
We are surrounded by a plasma of energy at all times. As we slow our movements and our minds we become more aware of this energy field. With the slow mindful movements of QiGong we can internalize this infinite source of energy to improve our health, make our bodies stronger and increase our vitality.
